H2S Scrubber System

The H2S Scrubber System is a highly efficient air pollution control device specifically engineered to remove hydrogen sulfide (H2S) gas from industrial exhaust streams without using water or liquid chemicals. This dry scrubber technology offers a reliable and low-maintenance solution, making it especially beneficial for industries like wastewater treatment, biogas processing, petroleum refining, and chemical manufacturing approach to air pollution management.

H2S Scrubber System

H2S scrubbers are custom engineered systems designed neutralize hydrogen sulfide gas. Depending on the gas concentration, flow rate, and operational requirements, Napcen offers a range of tailored solutions. For low concentration applications. Napcen dry scrubber provides a cost-effective and low-maintenance option. In cases of high H2S levels, a packed bed scrubber utilizing sodium hydroxide and hydrogen peroxide ensures effective gas removal.

Why Choose Our H2S Scrubber System?

  • High-efficiency H2S removal with caustic or nitrate solution
  • Lightweight FRP construction for long service life in corrosive environments
  • Modular capacities from 500 m³/h to 50,000 m³/h—ideal for new builds
  • Automated pH ORP control for consistent performance
  • Fully skid-mounted with recirculation tank, pump, and mist eliminator for plug-and-play installation
  • Typical Industries Served:

  • Oil gas refining and sulfur recovery units
  • Biogas desulfurization prior to engine or boiler use

H2S Scrubber System FAQs

About Hydrogen Sulfide Gas Removal

Contaminated gas rises through a packed bed while an alkaline or oxidizing liquid trickles downward. Hydrogen-sulfide dissolves and reacts chemically, producing harmless sulfate salts that are drained from the recirculation tank.
FRP (Fiber-Reinforced Plastic) is inherently corrosion-resistant, lightweight and non-conductive—ideal for handling acidic or sulfide-laden environments without costly lining painting.
By adjusting liquor chemistry and adding secondary stages, the unit can simultaneously remove H2S, mercaptans and organic odors, making it suitable for multi-pollutant control.
H2S scrubber system is designed to meet or exceed Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) and Tamil Nadu PCB limits. We provide third-party performance validation on request.
Routine tasks include pump inspection, nozzle cleaning, and periodic monitoring of pH/ORP to ensure reagent strength. Smoke Absorbers offers annual maintenance contracts for worry-free operation.
